Jocelynn Tice studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the
Fine Arts, Philadelphia, and sculpture and ceramics at Rutgers University,
Camden. She is a juried member of the Pastel Society of America, as
well as a member of the Pastel Painters Society and the Portrait Society of
America.
"My attraction to pastel is in the immediacy of the medium,
specifically the touch and feel of color. The richness of tones in the
play of lights and darks, warms and cools, lines and shadows is
captivating. Pastels aid in my ability to quickly convey the
individualities of my sitters in their moment on my stage. I feel I am
successful when the personality and the person look out from the same
page."
She also owns My Studio, llc, where she creates
commissioned Portraits, and develops assorted Artwork, and Stage pieces.
Additionally, she teaches classes in Drawing, Painting, and Portraiture for
adults and kids.
